One-To-One Recovery Action Plan

Adult RAPs are being offered to increase the wellbeing and improve the mental health of those who have been adversely affected by the pandemic. These one-on-one sessions with Mid Kent Mind’s wellbeing workers will provide people with structured support as they begin to return to life under the ‘New Normal’.

Over the course of a Recovery Action Plan, people will have the opportunity to identify areas where they may have struggled during the pandemic, and will be encouraged and supported as they take proactively steps to manage those areas in the future.

The Recovery Action Plan consists of the ten following areas:

  • Managing Mental Health
  • Life Skills
  • Physical Health and Self-care
  • Relationships
  • Social Networks
  • Aspirations
  • Responsibilities
  • Addictive / Challenging Behaviour
  • Identity
  • Self-esteem

FREE Calligraphy Courses

Mid Kent Mind are delighted to share that we are working with Youth Resilience UK to provide more FREE Calligraphy Courses for young people between the ages of 9 & 18 across the Mid Kent area. These sessions are funded as a part of our Reaching Communities programme – providing a range of support to young people across the local area.

Our current dates include a mixture of basic introductory courses, and also specific standalone sessions which will encourage young people to further engage with the skills and the knowledge that they will have the opportunity to develop on one of our basic Calligraphy introductions. The aim is to provide young people with a medium through which they can embrace their creativity, and the ways in which they express their mental health and wellbeing.

All of our courses are available free-of-charge thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, and that means that spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All young people who take part in these courses will receive access to resources which they can use to further take part in these activities after the courses have concluded.
