About Us

Our aims

Our aims and purposes are the reasons we exist, and are registered with the Charity Commission in our Memorandum and Articles of Association. The objects of the Company are:

“To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Park Wood and surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need for such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity, disablement, financial hardship or social and economic  circumstances or for the public at large in the interest of health, social welfare and community support capacity and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.”

Also

To “Improve the health and well-being of the resident of the local community and the wider Maidstone community. To understand the many health inequalities that is the result of poverty and deprivation.”

The Centre now delivers the following services:

• Café with full internet access • Health Trainer Service • Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB) • Golding Homes Benefit surgery • Sexual Health clinic for young people • Youth Café • Chiropody • Health Walks • Activities for All • Lunch Boxes • Families Matter Most • Counselling Services • Men’s Health project • Various school holiday activities.

Staff

Chief Officer

Jacqueline Bobb is fusions chief officer responsible for the overall running of the centre. 

Deputy Chief Officer

Tracey Elmore is responsible for the day to day operational delivery of all Fusion’s work, deals with all queries, finance and manages the apprenticeship and volunteer opportunities at Fusion.

Cafe Manager

Michele Finnemore is responsible for the day to day running of the Café @ Fusion and runs our Women’s Group – The Creative Crew. Michele also organises events, activities and day trips via Activities 4 All.

Community Development Worker

Aimee Bartlett works tirelessly to promote our engagement with the local community by undertaking projects and organising events, activities and day trips. She is responsible for Fund Raising and Marketing for Fusion and also takes care of our Facebook page.

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Kim Hearne works part time and is responsible for coordinating the development of Fusion’s marketing in relation to the centre’s activities and events, social media and website.
