Mid Kent Mind are pleased to be partnering up with Olympia Boxing CIC to deliver six-weeks’ worth of FREE virtual boxing sessions for young people who are looking to try something new from the comfort of their own homes.
This programme has been designed to encourage young people to think about the mental health benefits that physical activity can have. There are lots of studies which show that enhanced physical activity can bring benefits for our wellbeing, so we hope that this programme will encourage young people to explore those benefits and maybe even adopt physical activity as a healthy coping strategy for when they feel distressed.
These sessions will be facilitated by one of Olympia Boxing CIC’s trained coaches, and will last for an hour – taking place from 5pm – 6pm. As mentioned, the course will last for six weeks – with the first session taking place on Wednesday the 24th of February.
