Golding Homes Update

Be aware of scammers
I wanted to make you aware of some scammers targeting our residents, these people are using my name on fake letters to get money from people so please be alert and stay safe. Don’t get scammed
We have been made aware of residents receiving letters claiming to be from Golding Homes saying that we will be collecting rent payment in cash. This is a scam, please don’t get caught out. We will never ask you to hand over money or bank details on your doorstep. All our staff will always carry photo identification and will be happy to wait outside while it is verified. If you are unsure please do not allow access to your home and call 0300 777 2600 to check with us first. Unfortunately there are a large number of scammers trying to take advantage of people during this difficult time. Please make sure you are aware of them and know how to protect yourself, by taking a look at the information from Friends against Scams provided to us by the National Trading Standards. If you think you have been targeted by scammers please contact Kent Police. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time and please be careful and stay safe. Many thanks,

Annemarie Roberts
Director of Operations

Delivering essential services to you
Last week we took the decision to move to delivering essential services only, in order to keep our customers and colleagues safe and minimise the spread of Covid-19 virus. You can find out exactly what this means on our website. If you have a repair that falls outside of those listed which you feel is a priority please contact us, these requests will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Stay Safe
Following the Government’s guidance to stay home to protect the NHS and save lives, it is important to be aware of any potential fire risks that could occur as a result of the whole family being at home for a prolonged period of time. Please make sure you do not overload plug sockets which can cause fires or block communal areas or walkways with personal possessions or rubbish which could stop you escaping in the event of a fire. You can read some helpful tips or watch a short video about fire safety in the home on our website.
